Alistair Sung is a classically trained cellist with an interest in linking the old and the new and more than a decade of experience performing music in a variety of styles to different audiences around the world. Alistair has performed solo in a range of settings including at Gaudeamus and Cross-linx festivals. As a member of both Cello Octet Amsterdam and stargaze, Alistair has appeared alongside artists including Phillipe Jaroussky, Richard Reed Perry, John Cale, Justin Vernon and Poliça at major concert halls and festivals across Europe and the United States and has premiered works by Michael Gordon, Kinan Azmeh, Greg Saunier and David Longstreth.

His album Shared Space on 7 Mountain Records got critical acclaim in 2022.
