The The Hague based Trio Cortado presents their long-expected debut album Couleur Locale at 7 Mountain Records!
Despite their youthful appearance, Jasper Grijpink, Arthur Klaassens and Hannah de Witte have a long history in playing together. With Trio Cortado they express this in the rare combination of cor anglais, flute and bass clarinet.
The program on Couleur Locale is entirely build around clever and carefully made own arrangements of a selection of Debussy piano preludes, Ravels Sonata for Violin and Cello, 2 movements of Tombeau de Couperin + the Menuet in C-sharp minor. And all of this preceded by the radiating 1st Concert Royaux of Couperin.
Impressionistic colours and baroque playing techniques translated through unbelievable blending and lively playing we’re sure you’ll fall in love with!
