Lisanne Soeterbroek

At the age of fourteen, violinist Lisanne Soeterbroek (1984) made her début in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw (Khatchaturians Concerto) and has since performed as a soloist with many orchestras, including the Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dutch Chamber Orchestra, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, the Dutch National Youth Orchestra, the State Orchestra of Frankfurt an der Oder and the Baden-Badener Philharmonie.
Since 2013 she resides as first concertmaster at the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra (Belgium).
Lisanne is the primarius of the Vespucci Stringquartet and initiator of their productions ‘Kreutzersonata’ (2017, with film), ‘Prokofiev moves’ (2017, with dance) & ‘de Nieuwe Kleren van de Keizer’ (2018, kids-concert with actor). In 2014 and 2019 they recorded CD’s with the label Footloose.
She won top prizes in the Dutch National Oskar Back Violincompetition 2007 & 2011, the Padova International Music Competition 2012, the Cremona Solo Violin Competition 2010 and the ‘Internationaler Wettbewerb für Violine’ 2001. Lisanne was awarded the ‘Kersjes van de Groenekan Prijs 2007’ and the Gelderse Muziekzomer 2008 titled her the first ‘Young Artist in Residence’ in the history of this festival.
Lisanne studied with Coosje Wijzenbeek and Vera Beths at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and ended her Master’s degree in 2008 summa cum laude, with a distinction for ‘all-round musician’. In 2009-2010 she followed a Postgraduate Study in Graz (Austria), with Prof. Eszter Haffner.
She’s often invited as guest concertmaster at orchestras like the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra London, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris and the Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra.
Lisanne is frequently being asked to give masterclasses in orchestra studies. Many young violinists come and work with her on technical and musical
aspects, and to prepare orchestra auditions with her.
In 2020 Lisanne started her own photo studio at home, shooting personal portraits of primary fellow musicians. Her portfolio you can find on her website.
Lisanne plays on a Ferdinando Gagliano built in 1773.
This album at 7 Mountain Records is Lisanne’s first solo album.
