Oukje den Hollander

nog zo veel

After Oukje’s debut album Idyllen, also proudly released on 7 Mountain Records and (also) based on the poetry of Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer, there is still so much (‘nog zo veel’) beauty in the work of the acclaimed writer to set to music. Oukje is an incredibly gifted, genre-transcending singer and she created four new, idiosyncratic songs for this EP. About being in the world and being together. The poems are from Pfeijffer’s ‘The man of many ways’. Together with her regular multi-instrumentalist Marijn Korff de Gidts and two featuring top musicians, Oukje once again creates an elusive sound; eclectic pop music with influences from classical and jazz music.
